The Lorax – Read Aloud Picture Book | Brightly Storytime

Welcome to Brightly Storytime. I’m Ms.
Linda, and today we’re going to read one of my very favorite books to read at
springtime. It’s called The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. What would you do if you were given a seed? Could you plant it and
water it and make sure it got fresh air? Talk to a grown-up and see if they’ll
help you find one. If you put it in the ground and take good care of it
you’ll get to watch it grow into a plant. Come back to read more stories together
anytime you’d like, or find more books to read yourself at ReadBrightly.com. Bye!

The moral most people get from this story is “don’t cut down trees” I get a different message. The message I see is “don’t be a stupid businessperson.” Many people blame the lumber industry and paper industry for destroying the environment by cutting down trees while in reality they plant more trees as they cut them down(I think it’s 3 planted for every 1 they cut down). This is not to help the environment but to help with business. The Onceler was a really STUPID person. If he planted more Truffula trees as he chopped them down his business would’ve been more successful

When you're a child, you don't realize how important this book is and how much in means. Now that I'm older, I can see past the fun rhymes and colorful pictures, even if I still enjoy them, and can actually take in the true story.

the end note, 'talk to a grown up'. I'm watching this alone, and I am a grown up. I almost spat my tea out giggling.

This is great, I can just feel all the childhood memories just flooding back to me. All the rhymes and the colors just… ah.
This book meant so much to me and my lil bro ;-; I LOVE YOU DOCTOR SEUSS

Someone did a read aloud of Peter Milletts ‘Creature from the Bottom of the Sea’. That’s a really underrated book, I think.
If you wanna see then go see ‘Hannah Films’
