SWITCH LITE REACTION - How Nintendo Will Print More Money

I really can't believe it guys the Nintendo switch mini or Nintendo switch the light is actually a thing this has me pretty excited because this will get even more people into the Nintendo switch ecosystem all that 3ds audience that has yet to pick up the switch now this is an option for them if they love gaming on the go because this version is handheld only now this is where my prediction was wrong I predicted that it would be a switch handheld system exactly like this no Rumble no detachable joy con and a better battery life but you would also be able to dock it that is not the case so anyway let's jump on end in a surprise video uploaded on the Nintendo UK YouTube channel Nintendo has officially revealed the long-awaited heavily rumored Nintendo switch light not the Nintendo switch mini which was the speculated name the Nintendo switch light is smaller in design and it looks more like a PlayStation Vita like more like the 2000 version of the PlayStation Vita probably a bit bigger than the og Nintendo switch had a 6.2 inch touch screen this one has a 5.5 inch now I was hoping with the switch mini they would be somehow able to keep the screen size the same as the original but I don't know maybe to keep costs down they couldn't really keep it that big the Nintendo switch light which the company describes as a compact lightweight console that's dedicated to handheld play as I said will not feature the docked option to play on the television the main unit and control inputs have been permanently integrated into the handheld hardware joy con can still be used but they're sold separately the directional buttons have been switched in favor of a control pad to aid in optimizing portability the IR motion and HD Rumble features have been removed it's also advised to check the back of the Nintendo switch games box to ensure the title can play in handheld mode so you won't be able to play games like Mario Party more importantly the handheld device is heading to retailers as soon as this autumn season releasing officially on September 20th the price of the console will be $100 less than its predecessor standing out at $200 the console can be purchased in yellow grey turquoise and there's actually a white ish pokemon version that looks really awesome as well this has me really excited like I was saying this is going to open up the switch to a whole new audience my family alone are gonna end up getting three of these puppies this also leads me to believe that the og switch will not get a price drop anytime soon they're going to keep these two models going on for probably the next year so so if you've been hesitant on jumping in because of the $300 price point and you think you'll only be playing on the go the switch light is the switch for you but be sure to let me know what you guys think down in the comments are you excited for the switch light do you like the design are you mad that they took out Rumble or the joy Conti catchable let me know I'll talk to you guys later

Here In Australia The Switch Light Is Pretty Much Useless Lol I mean they are charging us $329.95 when we can just get the regular switch for $70 extra at $399

If this is Nintendo’s answer to Xbox’s phantasy star online 2 announcement then this is a joke I would rather wait for scarlet it’s not even a switch if you can’t hook it up to a tv so no this is nothing great..

I'm definitely mad about the no rumble feature. I think it gives that AAA console depth to it

No I don't like it it's not a switch anymore without TV mode. Why didn't they just release the nintendo switch without a dock and just be able to buy the dock separately if you really wanted to That woulda brought the original switch down to $220. Only $20 more than this dumb down mini version. I really don't like it and I think it was a complete waste of their efforts and time.

    Cons:
-White buttons and joystick prone to dirt and becoming yellow.
    -awkward right joystick placement
    -no black border around screen
    -bad colors
    -no motion controls
    -no IR camera
    -no HD Rumble
    -no kickstand
    -no tv output
    -smaller screen causing eye strain
-you cant throw just the tablet in the bag and put the joycons in a safer spot like the og switch because they are attached and will cause joystick do get dirty cause its made of rubber and rubber collects dirt.
-controllers aren’t replaceable, there have been many joy cons with faulty hardware or stops working due to damage, joy cons would be easy to replace but this would not be.

I think the og switch is the way to go.

My original Switch is already small enough for my hands, works well and I never plan on taking it outside my house anyway so I'll pass. Looks cool though

If they were only gonna get it dropped by a $100 they should have just sold the regular switch without the dock that's $80 right there and no removable joy cons I don't know I don't like it

I am disappointed that a device this premium won't have Rumble…

But hey that's why Rumble Gloves, the pound of a docking case that you screw into the back of the unit were made for my Gameboy Color.

Imagine the making a secondary battery pack that went on the back of this that had Rumble and I are features that made the thing three times as thick.

Great for occupational therapists and others who treat carpel tunnel and de Quervain's tenosynovitis. It’s not ergonomic at all

Print more money from a handheld with stick drift, a library that’s 10% new exclusives, 30% indie games no one has heard of, 55% 3rd party ports from generations ago and 5% Wii U ports sold for $60? A terrible online service while the Wii U’s VC can play snes, n64, GBA, DS, and wii games? They might’ve fixed their marketing problems from the Wii U era but they can’t keep up this goodwill forever if they still seem so out of touch with everything else.
