Another suggestion for the cover sheet: Leave the sheet in place. Starting at the top left of the sheet, about 3 inches over from the top left corner, cut a vertical slit 3 inches down, pull that slice of sheet down and work on that area. When you finish that area, move over about 3 inches, cut another vertical slit about 3 inches down and work on that area. In other words, you will be working a small area at a time while the rest remains covered up.

Also wanted to say that I have had a little trouble with the tray in the first kit as it seemed to have a slight warp or curve in the center of the tray! When you go to pick up the beads in this area of the tray the beads go flipping out! Grrr! I super glued a square piece of magnet (comes in packs used for crafts, etc.) and this has seemed to give the tray a little more stability and heaviness to keep the beads from flipping out or turning over the tray! Also you can cut around the end of magnet closer to the tray so you can still pour your beads in to your bags, plastic containers or whatever you may be using!

I am still working on my first diamond painting and not doing too well with the edges being so straight as I see in your pictures! I know there is a tool to align the rows a little better and I have tried using a ruler to try to keep everything straight, but that doesn't seem to be helping too much either! Any suggestions? Also I have found with this first picture that there are kind of like wrinkles in the sticky part after I have flattened out the picture in the beginning and have started to work on it! Hopefully this will flatten out in the end when I use the roller over the picture, but any suggestions just in case on this? Thanks for your help!

To get rid of the any sticky areas, use talcum powder. Just make sure you don't get any on the diamonds. Once you've got the talcum powder down, just use your finger to rub the stickiness off! As for framing, here are several ideas that are inexpensive: use a poster frame, they come big enough to handle any size. Use an artist canvas, now this won't be in a frame per se, but you can mount it on an artist canvas and hang it. These are but 2 inexpensive ways of framing and are alternatives to using a custom frame.

Use parchment paper in squares over your painting . Remove only that square in the area you are working .

Is there anyway to tell if the dotz are like the size of the rooster family? I have this one and two others. One of the pictures has squares dotz and it is difficult to do.

    Re missing tools:
I had to laugh, after your first project, and so on, you end up like all the rest of us diamond painting addicts with a shoe box full of trays, pens, and more than a lifetime supply of pink glue squares!!

They give you more diamonds than what you need so don’t worry if there are some deformed diamonds you can chuck them and if you are missing some you get get some for free from the website you brought them from

For a missing stylus thingy, I used a gel pen. I took the ink and tip out, worked wonderfully so I use it all the time now. Thank you so much for all these tips!!

I find that using the reusable clay blue tack is way better than that red wax cuz i would have to change the wax every half hour it loses its stickiness fast but the blue tack I can leave the same piece in for like a week or so an it still stays sticky u can find it cheap on the app "joom" great app has alot of stuff for cheap you never have to pay any shipping on that app i love it !

Does anyone know what to do if your painting only came partially glued? I ordered off of amazon because at the time there was no company selling them that would ship to a P.O. Box. It came and it is beautiful but only part of it came printed with the grid and glue. The other half is just the painting. If someone could tell me how to go about finishing the full picture without the grid numbers and glue, it would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I do have enough gems to finish it completely

just like my jigsaw puzzles. I don't pay for custom framing… I've found ways to "frame" the odd sizes myself.

The company that makes it says they will replace it does not say on next order. If you use the company not some off site. https://paintwithdiamonds.com/collections/sale?page=4&sort_by=price-ascending
