How to paint with Acrylic on Canvas The Magic Book Live Streaming

you hey everybody it is cinnamon Cooney or our Sherpa and today we're gonna be coming and bringing this beautiful magic book painting to you I'm gonna be showing you how to do this step by step in acrylic on canvas all the way so you can create this at home there's our look we got the picture in picture so you don't have to like just remember it on the mike today's my husband John hi guys he is going to be tracking with our cameras this is currently live streaming so he's gonna catch any questions and things you guys might have and I say let's just jump on into the art cuz I really need some unwind time mm-hmm our material is here this is an 11 by 14 canvas and we like to on live shows have wishes especially on our regular shows this is Stephanie to find peace and paint again and Tiffany support and healing and most importantly relief and well-being and we release in that – Tiffany I hope you felt that today Amy we're sending love and just beautiful happy healthy baby and all and I'm in say Amy sending love and a happy healthy recovery to lose who is currently recovering she's fighting right now Geraldine strength for being a mom while her husband is away on deployment protecting his country healing for Danielle on her back Michelle wishes the for children who have suffered anywhere in the world to be supported and healed and more baby wishes for Danny so those are the wishes let's check out the materials so we're gonna start this painting if you check the description below all the materials are listed out for you but we're gonna start today with a little black gesso and a big big brush Oh a big brush yeah because this whole painting is gonna have a black ground which is just a fancy fancy way of saying I'm gonna paint this black with just so first now you can make your own black gesso with clear gesso and black paint but I found it's just a lot more economical to just buy the black gesso I did a little comparison and was just like by the time I'm done with sales it's just more to get the paint and clear gesso now I was hanging out down by the easels and I heard a rumor yes and I wanted to know if you would help me with this I will clear up as many rumors as I can okay so what scuttlebutt was Scott there's so much scuttlebutt what's the scuttlebutt if you use a good brush with your gesso it will destroy your brush this is good scuttlebutt is it okay so here's what the deal is your gesso good gesso has things like pulverized marble and different ingredients in it sometimes like rock marble yeah there's there's this powder grit to it so it has teeth there there's the good just so and then there's like questionable gesso but regardless what they all have in common is that they have tooth and that can wear out a brush now you notice I am unafraid using this brush on this just so I clean these out these are very Hardy these are synthetic filaments and they're gonna hold up a long time and I find that way before my brush could be worn out by gesso my brush just gets worn out from use right but if you have a very very precious baby I mean don't take your mink sable brush just so your canvas or you know any of that you want something it's a little hard here so I saw a couple people ask in here is it okay if they just wanted to use black paint mm-hmm okay that's perfectly acceptable to use black paint I just use this because it's economical yeah okay for me it's just a good economical choice I could have also just used I mean just any black round we just want to start with a nice black base this particular one is gonna go very matte it's not gonna have any shine to it that's the other thing I like about gesso is it goes super super matte it is is it the the black of controversy matte matte no oh because there's that controversy black which you'll not get to see me use because I'm gonna allow to right right by a pre just sewed black canvas uh-huh and often they're on sale and you know how sometimes the white ones resist paint yes for some reason the ones that are blacked out hmm I have no scientific reason for that it's a mystery which I guess makes it a good so check for this particular painting how does everybody but they're very very excited we have a very full house here today of people just having a great time with this and Janice was like oh what about applying gesso with a sponge yeah you can leave your little sponge brushes yeah no I hear a lot of people recommend using them for varnish and actually they can create a bunch of stuff but we'll do that in a future varnish class so the varnish subject they're excited about this I'm so excited about this too I'm gonna put out some of my colors and again you can get the complete color list in the description below if you can't see it it's probably you gotta click some little more thing you got to ask for more it's below the folds it's below the fold that's a thing that happens so I'm could I put up my phthalo green my dog's purple I'm gonna put out a little had yellow over here just trying to give these guys space and there is I'm giving spaces I'm gonna be doing some sponging Oh in a teeny tiny amount of phthalo blue I'm not this low on phthalo no high fives Julie Ann who says I'm just happy to be here I'm with her I'm just happy to be here to thank you guys for coming it's awesome I always say see now I was telling cinnamon I said hey she doesn't hear what I say to you guys he's blowing hair doing the hair dryer what would you put out there by the way I'm gonna just go over them all again in just a second I might as well put out most of the palette and then you'll regroup yeah I'm gonna just use my black gesso for my black paint in this if you use black paint you could just use that just it's just an economy choice to do that there isn't anything in specific like you have to use the black gesso where your painting will fail well before you regroup on the pain I'm gonna say I always say I love love love that you guys are all here with us today we sell it we get a chance to have them all these people together to celebrate that what we're doing is painting together and that's a really magical thing that I just am so happy that we get to be a part of and there's we have almost 700 people here already and you know guys it just for me when you guys all come and we get to celebrate like this together it's amazing so thank you thank you thank you so how this is gonna go today is we're going to sponge in a background splatter a few stars sponge in some wood I'm going to show you how to put in the book we're gonna do another splatter and then probably a little smoke and then we'll be done doesn't it sound easy there's Hoddle easy no one who right now it might be it might be I think this one might be a 1 hoot I think this one might be deceptively like awesomely easy but let's get into it and find out but I think this is a good painting for gold or paint paint colors there alright let's go over our paint I have yellow ochre burnt sienna CAD yellow medium dark spurple phthalo blue phthalo green this milky weird stuff is acrylic lazing liquid you can get this in satin or gloss either is fine this thing's called glazing liquid are not the same from brand to brand so what I would say is this is the one that slows the paint time down and lets you glaze it does the two things I got titanium white and if you don't have it that's okay it's not going to like ruin your painting experience I've got some household sponges I was getting you see sponges but then I thought you guys for sure for sure probably have one of these old sponges just sitting around somewhere mm-hmm you know that you can start working and I'm going to get this wet and squeeze off the extra water is you just saw go everywhere that's okay and I'm going to start my stirs 1g sponge technique now something funny I'm pulling the phthalo green here that people might not know is sponging is like an actual acrylic technique there's a lot of really fun acrylic techniques that serious artists use that people don't realize are real acrylic techniques this is just one of those funny ones I'm going to put a little halo here and I'm going to start with my little green and I'm going to just definitely sponge that out because the picture has some texture and I want to I want to imply that texture in here so I thought a sponge is a wonderful way of doing it I'm gonna get a little more here on there and a little white you can kind of see how that's done I'm just coming from the edge and you can even add go if you want it to be a little more transparent and I'm going to actually weirdly blend this out with a sponge – oh yeah yeah this is you're gonna be like for a minute I'm like I don't get where we're going sharp ax house have a plan like even when I have no plan I like how it makes the the kind of I mean the way the way that it creates that pattern II kind of stampede around there it's really neat now I'm kind of like you can't see this working this together mm-hmm right and what I'm gonna try to do here is just make sure that I'm coming to these edges and blending this out little circles soft pressure I'm not pressing into the sponge real hard and I'm just making sure that as this is here it's sort of blended out so some of its textured and some of its blended can you guys see how that's working oh yeah this is another way of getting a blend on something and when you have something's got a nice rough texture and so you can come right over the top a little bit soften that and it kind of takes away the kitchen sponginess and starts to make it look like an aged wall yes all my friends love me to come over to their house a mural look his bedroom what gets the sponges girl get some sponges I got stuff to do so I'm gonna just alternate between syrup tapping and blending so they have some tonality here I've got book in front of here and I'm okay now as I'm coming towards the center I can put a lot more weight on my sponge because it lightens up through here and I can even create that see my little circles and then where I get lines I just soften it out you can always just tap no Rita has a large round brush that she likes to blend with could she just use that really you can use if you are familiar with a different technique for blending than this and you would prefer to use that I mean I'll just cry and cry and cry no it's really okay you mix it up the technique where you paint is the best technique right I mean at the end of the day the best thing that you can do is do whatever lets you be creative mm-hmm and I'm just you can kind of see I'm just using my little kitchen sponge and getting this out now this is very green here and I've got to go into the blues yeah so I'm just going to turn to the other side of my sponge I really actually have several things I can do the whoops that's terrible well I've got a bunch of white paint now I'm gonna get some of my blue here and just put it right into that hot mess mmm cuz why not why waste it I'm gonna just work in the middle here and I'm going to tap out first tap out my texture I've got my eye blue in my white so I didn't want to waste that and then I'm gonna flip over because that's what I was originally planning to do but then I had a moment getting my blue am i blue am i blue and that nice you can grab a little glazing liquid there we go there's our blue see how bright that blue is yeah and so texture plus color is always wonderful my sponge is damp if my sponge were to get really dry this would not work as well Maj asks a really interesting question I'm gonna now I'm gonna do that same blend see I'm blending that out yeah it's that softness in there that's what we all want right so she was wondering if she's I do not have a sponge can I use a paper towel and dab and dab tap instead you can do um well I mean yes right anything that makes a mark works so what I would say is whenever you're looking at a technique you've got to replace two techniques so making a texture with a sponge where I'm tapping oh yeah and then I'm also blending using the sponge oh yeah those are two techniques so you want to make sure that if you're changing things out to the tools that you have that you make sure that you've got a replacement for the techniques that you're seeing mmm that's how like I can come in and paint some watercolor stuff or this is fine or blue blue blue yeah no I should say Kim loves the way the textures coming out on this I just it's fun awesome kind of worried that you don't have a sponge not judging them just say Oh like anywhere in the house you know you you may have that one sponge it's there at the back of this you shouldn't you would be like I'm not using that like nothing is grow no I got one of those sponges yeah but so I'm like you know I can find myself like you're just slipping through YouTube and then hey look there's this lady with a unicorn on horn on who's teaching us how to paint with a sponge where's my sponge wait oh no my sponge is not good so I'm going back into my yellow and green here just making sure that I've got really nice saturated bright vivid colors cuz that's what's gonna make this work right so if you need to you can get your sponge wet again makes my hands messy but I don't mind and I'm gonna come back with a little purple little box oh I also had quinacridone and the reason I had quinacridone is sometimes Doc's is such a deep purple that you've got to warm it up and I like the quinacridone for doing that but I don't need too much of it not very much so I might even grab a little oh that's too much green your sponge so the same thing that happens in brushes happens in your sponges and I'm gonna just actually cheat and go into a different sponge sponge down look at this oh my gosh you have a sponge collection well I mean they're really economical at the dollar store I always need them around the house anyway is other than the mess I don't mind I'm just waiting for your arms to start you only have your very long sleeves oh yeah I got a pretty good sense of where everything else but then watch me get it all right now I'm gonna go ahead and get that quinacridone on that sponge again disappearing paint you know get a little of my purple on there you can just see it just gets it more into the purple that you're seeing in the picture I'm gonna make sure that I've got this sort of nice color see how they're at layers oh yeah just another way of doing this you can do this with a sea sponge and and normally I might even go sea sponge but I just you guys were like I got those cellulose sponge I got that thing with the green scrubber on the back but I don't have that weird sponge that lives in the ocean I'm like what you wouldn't have to we're just trying to make sure that we have the energy of magic kind of coming up and happening here now I don't want to get into my greening else I'm going to carefully avoid it when I pick up any white and if I get any glaze I'm gonna kind of carefully avoid it as well because they're not friends on the color wheel no they're not oh is that fine yeah and I'm having fun painting it lots of ways to get a job done lots and lots and lots of ways to make a beautiful kind of magic little background no Tina was asking are we gonna have problems with the yellows disappearing again uh well so did you guys notice that I was adding white as I went sometimes white will help yellow pigment up enough to show it doesn't over lighten it and so that that is why I did that weight kind of a crazy location but that's okay I'll just blend it out see I want on the other side of my sponge and sort of blended and cleaned that up oh yeah I'm just gonna come around on the outside on the clean side and blend this out and now I've got a nice blend and the only thing I think we could use is a little more blue coming up like I feel like our amazing blue glow could use a little help so I'm gonna improve that some getting some white and some phthalo just make sure that our oh there it is see there it goes so my pressure is light and going little swirls and they kind of take it off can you keep the mushroom like swirl swirl swirl swing swirl swirl swing everything makes them mark and you can paint with is what I want you to know you can isn't it super real tool just getting some more glaze on there cuz my titanium you could use ink to get a transparent white but my titanium is pretty opaque and I just want to make sure that I've got this light value sort of tapped in here see how light it is in the center oh yeah we got to make sure that we're there right so that what we have feels like real I'm just again quite likes wiggle squiggle squiggle sweet there we are I think we're doing pretty good I'm bringing some of these up here I have to let this dry once I get a nice color combo where I feel it like it implies some sort of magical a mission that's happening it's crazy when it finally starts to work I love it is that working it's saying you're like it's well it's magical it's magic it is it's totally magic now I've got some wood down here we've got to put in that's the the ground that our book is on right oh yeah that's correct yeah we don't want to lose that though I do see some area that could use a little yellow hopefully have enough clean sponger – Oh such a thing I just wanna make sure that this is got some stuff to it and if you get anything you don't like you just take it to the clean side of sponge and look at how it can blend you can really soften stuff this way sometimes our tools can get in our way and then we get all frustrated and really we just change a tool learn the technique and then we can come back with our brushes and our palette knives and create what we're looking for in those tools because we start thinking about the tool is the carrier of the art and we start thinking about ourselves as the place where our art resides I'm just making sure I came a nice layer with my wood which is just gonna be a little bright brown and black and say I'm just making sure that there's it's coming behind something just go back so can you guys see that little green glaze oh yeah it's gonna help me and I don't even really need to take it off my eye sponge that much cuz our book is ready wow this is having a moment and before we put on the wood we've got to start putting in the background for our stars I will store my sponges in here I'm going to use this is the fluid I said it was optional on the description this is the fluid paint but one of the things you guys might not realize is what I'm saying that I'm saying that it's leveling so the gesso is actually fluid paint to it right because see how it's leveling and so is like a craft paint like this and so is another paint like this so if you see the word soft or fluid this is what they mean because they're not they're not ever required to use the same names this is my splattering tool it is not a toothbrush it has the shipper white filament in it which is real stiff and it lets me have a lot of control over my splatter and star effect and I really like it and I've got a whole video on how to make splatters and stars lots of different ways you know there's the brush whacking method there's the there's the fleeing method there's a screen method that's pretty cool and there's this now because I like to have control in an artist life you'll find splattering tools you love and then they'll get discontinued or they don't make that toothbrush anymore because it ripped peoples gums off you like kill you that toothbrush and can't replace it it's so upsetting so seen up there and it's got some nice bladder to it some nice little energy to it it does I made sure that I just rinse out my brush and put it aside because we don't want to leave this particular brush to soak in water any brushes to soak in water actually that would be terrible thing to do a good idea good idea don't leave your brushes and water like cinemas doing right now look at all right there that's all okay get your brush out of the water miss a man thank you for catching it it's so true I would like to make some wood now and to make some wood I'm gonna get a little blue on my brush and I'm also gonna tap a little black can you see I tapped a little black I'm gonna tap a little brown and get a smidge so that's how it looks so I've got one two three smudges away and I'm served tap through some stuff and I'm gonna actually flip this over because that's how I can keep a level level line okay I want you to know that the thing with wood is about the way that it streaks and the colors in it so it doesn't matter if you don't get the first one because as you keep working it the wood will come it will happen and you'll be like that was the greatest wood of my life so it's definitely about the layers to get this to work yeah the layers are it whether you're faux painting or you know painting on a canvas it's really about the layers I do like to get some white on my space there we go so that was more Brown heavy and look at that go what are we getting now some wood a little black cross and I can even maybe use some of that fluid cuz it's just sitting there looking like it has nothing better to do and so I'm like hey you have something better to do get on my canvas that's what you can do so now I'm just gonna wear with a black point how would is it getting like crazy getting that wood texture and this is a dark wood right on on our canvas it's very dark maybe a little black and a little brown I'm just bringing this across flip over little black-and-white right here in the center getting stronger on that they know what's happening you're like but by manicure acrylic paint cleans up with rubbing alcohol don't worry you can grab some blue if you want to here we go how would is that Wow I like how it just comes together like that a lot of this is sort of like a magic trick now the center here has a highlight so it's okay to like take your lighter color and focus it right here in the center and I keep it from making like an edge like that I just sort of I what I do is I pinch Sam pinching yeah and I got my two fingers here that way it doesn't give me a hard edge oh yeah there's techniques I should make a little block all the ways to make this little sucker be awesome all right put a lot more wine in there cuz I'm lightening it up lightening it up okay I think we've got a nice dispersal and what we're doing there we go the wood grain fun huh now once I'm starting to get my wood grain in I can always come along here using the edge of my sponge clean that up and if there's something I don't like I can Tim to this sweep the clean side of my sponge and blend it back oh yeah so I am NOT ever stressed about none of this and that works because this paint is dry and my white paint was still wet I'm just making this nice aged wood effect and I can blend here soften my lines oh this is interesting this is why this is very interesting and I'm really just I'm raining from asking questions and things no it's okay because we're just putting in the wood we got to let this dry and we might do a little I've got to put in a little focal star so while we're putting in focal stars it's like a great space to start taking a few questions let's see how it would looks like from a distance and sip our coffee and contemplate our awesomeness in the universe well you you actually did there are a couple of questions that they are non painting specific that they've come up in chatting okay I'm square while we're doing them yeah this is good so why do you dye your hair why do I dye my hair your everyone said they do how lovely your hair looks and how pink and beautiful it is and say why did you dye your hair well because I finally have a job that lets me I would say is probably the honest answer I have been doing this since I was a kid I was gonna answer in chat that oh that it was gonna be like you know in the rebellion from your youth and now that you're allowed to do it but I would I think it's it's more fun to let you tell the story so I have strawberry blonde hair naturally or I'm sure it I'm sure it's not natural anymore because you know at some point you just awed meant no matter what you start with you just haven't seen in so long you don't know side strawberry blonde hair and my family was really attached to that they really liked it and I kind of had a lot of teenage rebellion going on in certain areas and hair was one of them and so I was one of the first you know Manic Panic kool-aid you know crazy crazy people see now we've gone that would sort of a ridge between it so now it has that sort of look at that book The Thing Thing it's just crazy that isn't I know you guys are looking at your cupboards going I could make this I can do Earl to a square there and I can do Berle give me a plastic bag and a sponge and I can Berle you up anyhow so I colored it I think at the time what did we have we had wine right that burgundy wine color that was kind of purple kind of red seemed a little rebellious and my mom lost her mind in the morning and and I was just remember but it's like my head but okay I mean you could have done it if you want striving blonde you go alone all the time changer get it but not appreciated so now because of the hard work of people like me you have amazing sets of fantasy colors and mine is actually done you guys wanted my secret this is now done with shampoo and a conditioner and not out of a bottle as much so there's a there's a thing that does it I thought that was cute so rather than rather than telling them for you I thought I'd okay I just let you tell them the story your hair I know this is not happening again because I put this back I put it away what you put away it's over here Oh miss run away two infamous ran away tool I'm gonna put out some little specific dots that I might star up early this is a dotting tool it comes in my galaxy set but you can use the back of a paintbrush you know or I think at some point if you're doing a bunch of space and galaxy and splatter and oceans and sand having some tools that do this texture is a good idea if it's possible that one just gives you that nice diminishing perfect round dot yep so that's why it's in the set but you know you with more patience you could use the back of a brush or whatever yeah absolutely and I think that's the important thing to know to get the glow around these I'm definitely definitely definitely going to need to clays them but I think the best thing right now is to let it dry and do them when I get the second set of stars you guys ready yes much right you talked to John oh yeah okay make sure so I will say oh my gosh thank you guys for coming and hanging out you know I love seeing all you here art high fives everybody who's painting along with us today love seeing you I saw some we had some little brushes there chats been really kind of moving along it's been it's been really nice having you guys here if you're catching this on the rewind on the review mind the replay definitely come by and if you get a chance join us on the live it's really a lot of fun there's a huge community there's a lot of shenanigans that happen out here you can find information about this painting and all the things that we were doing in the description below and please please PLEASE paint that share up your painting here this is one of our my favorite paintings that we've seen that we've done so far I'm really excited to see lots of magic books it's a a image set that is near and dear to me so cinnamon is a partially indulging me with these images so I really appreciate and I look forward to seeing all of y'all's oh are you wearing talking about the big art quest well just this pretty killer Wow actually yeah all the images you're doing in the big art quest are very indulgent of me this year I scared people so bad with that I did not even know that was gonna be like that stressful cuz I was like we're gonna do this we're gonna break it down and then people like is the channel over is it done will it be no more easy lessons I'm out but stuff is still going it's still the same we just have the quest back soon if you see this no totally okay and also for those of you who were really upset about the do unicorn see morning I'm sure pokorny yep I didn't mean to remotely suggest that we were not unicorns in group I had put in a new role and I was explaining about youtubers not being special lil unicorns and people were like I am a special little unicorn I'm like oh I'm sorry but what was Ed so yeah you more specifically all of cinnamons YouTube friends came back and started poking or saying but I'm especially unicorn what do you mean and then she sorry I I wasn't I'm not the unicorn my friends I was not taking away anybody's unicorn status is all I'm saying so we all get to be the unicorns again now if John will indulge me I'm ascared this book and I would like to invite you to come by the Facebook after this live if you can get on Facebook and I'm gonna demo some stuff about sponges because if any of you are questioning if you can be successful with this technique I want to show you that you can buy some drill-down spun genomics yes okay what's catching the same sounds like thank you for volunteering me I am I did I volunteered you I get volunteered all the time and don't even know it so I'm gonna come ahead of my line yes and if you want to know the dimensions of this this line is about an inch and then the one in front of it is about two inches so this total band is three I'm gonna come a smidge almost a salvage edge for those of you that so in front of this line a little more than a quarter-inch and I am going to make a nice little chalk guideline for my book because my book needs to be a little bit in front of what we're seeing Yeah right and I'm sorry that the trace levels are slow we're working on the scanner right now right but not if we go to the face book right after all right so first thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put the spine of the book in which is this sort of little half circle you guys see that right there in the center yes right lined up in the center got this little half circle and then there's our little flaps which we've kind of already laid out now this tends to be always this is true for all books and I've done a lot of books I'll just tell you that this is true you got to make the flap a little bit thicker the binder it's the binding of the book do you guys remember books they were this cool thing I used to read em it's awesome and then you have the page curved and that's the first important thing to get in is the idea that there's this page curved people that cut books are so dependent on it and I'm going to create the nice line of the pages that they make and that beautiful oh yeah right now over here this one has a smaller little page curved because there's lots of weird individual little pages happening so we're gonna go like this and come up now I'm coming my line is coming in because a little bit of the binder is showing around the pages oh yes I've got to leave that little bit of an edge a little bit just a little bit of an edge whoa kids play you kids by now I'm going to put my book in slight perspective which means I'm going to angle my pages back just a little bit to make it look like they're vanishing and then I've got another set of pages that's going to come right here right there they to kind of have a little vanishing and then they've got a couple friends that just come right off you like you've got to love a friend that just shows up and comes off and then when it comes up here of course there's the you know the ones coming here don't make this van too full because books tend to clump and by the way this will work for you on all your little book art I mean that overly thick this is like a tome now Zoey was saying she loves the smell of a new book it's a special thing isn't it you know I love the smell of an old book which I think on some level is saying I love the smell of moldy books but you know okay so we're just showing that these pages are lifted and going back into perspective and it's kind of like a fan we know a little bit more about you know say how I'm bringing this back in an angle yep now yet we are gonna figure out how I get the traceable up there so you guys the can't but if you're just close to feeling like you could go for it ooh Kristi says she frisky Kristi says she absolutely loves this background is just really really coming together for I think it's a beautiful one really has is really nice it's really it's really yeah I'm kind of I'm into it some kind of block this in right and then we'll finish out our stars and do some stuff we could also do a little bokeh oh yes I'm gonna use my smallest bokeh tool this is a little round sponge oh yeah before I paint this in so it can have some larry bokeh and I think I'm gonna be like I'm gonna do a little yellow lots of yellow and a smidge of the green and so much glazing liquid see how much glazing liquid if you don't have glazing liquid just do this really dry so that the paint isn't too solid I'm gonna just make a couple little magic dots ah little round dotty yeah just a few stage magic boiling up yeah I like it around there so I've kind of got that little feeling in right yeah you've got that you're doing kind of a twist think I'm gonna zoom in on one of those if you could show that yes so how I get mine to work because there's a bunch of tools that do this I love mine of course because they've got the convex you've got the hole to push them out but really at the end what you're looking for is a round sponge that you're going to push in twist one way come back press down twist the other way oh yeah that's down twist oh you're so fast yeah so that's I get pressed down twist it's like twisting pounds twisting pounds attack your canvas with your pants er smells cool cool magic magic magic do what you will don't and all the unicorn fans went scream all right so now we're gonna put in our old tome and I'm probably gonna use a number four cat's tongue for that you could use a filbert you can use a braid I just kind of want to put in the binder and some of the book now the first thing that is real fun that I can do to help myself is get some black on my brush and I'm gonna come really really sort of right under here and get a shadow going in the shadow it's like so if this curve up in a rainbow this is gonna make a little bit of a smile yeah and I painted under my chalk I mean I'm painting right under my chalk line so I know where I need it I'm just making sure that this has shadow and I'm gonna go ahead and take the time to sort of fill this in all right and you can even come under where you feel like your pages might be the nice thing about getting the shadow in is that as you paint it in you can leave a sliver of it easily if fine lines are not your friend and they may not be that's okay no big toe now this has a nice little shadow sort of to it it shows that this book is sitting on the table and we kind of need that so it has the weight and it feels real I gonna down my brush in just a little bit of you know water to improve flow and so you just go right in the tip maybe even add a little yellow ochre to warm this up and get some white because it's quite light look at that we made the weird bookbinding color so first it's going to come down marrying the smile more white and then it's going to come right here doing the inside layer first right up to where the book pages are and you can see how that trims that black line okay doing the same thing right here trim that line turn trim and then I'm going to dip in here a little more black a little more Brown a little more pigmented and let's do the edge of our book binding you guys seen it yet this is a very different project than what we do yeah and constructing it in a slightly cool but different way you guys see the binding yeah let me see if I see the book binding which starting to coming I like it all right so now we have that right now I can do this really cool thing they rinse out my brush a lot more of my yellow ocher but I'm gonna make it a little bit aged to see I'm aging it with I mean I'm mixing so I had the black and the burnt sienna here and I'm just bringing over to my ochre and aging it and I'm getting some white just to make sure that some of my my binding is yellow and but see I'm dry brushing across so it's like leaving some of what's underneath there now we got a little aged book and we have some pages to do we have pages to do man pages and pages and pages and I'm looking at this and I'm trying to make a decision how do I want to accomplish that goal that page goal that I've got here because I've got to paint it in I've got to catch all the lights and shadows just enough so that you see the shape of everything but not so much that I'm committed to high realism because like an art there comes this point like if you get too specific about it you're yeah it's not okay hmm so I think I'm gonna keep going with this little guy and I'm gonna stay in my yellow my my black and yellow ocher so that's sort of a very warm warm warm warm color right and a little white if we need it I'm gonna go ahead and put in these pages now when I come to the edge here I don't mind if my brush kind of finishes see how it's doing not smoothly I'm just pressing along again you can do it with a round or filbert it's more important that you're just saying is you're coming to the edge of stroke you're letting it see yep and now it looks a little bit more bookish because you can see the just a tip of all of that lifting up I'm gonna make an arc here and come over do that and then when I get these friends in we're gonna stop and have a little visit cuz I'm gonna need another sip of coffee I am powered by coffee so I'm just putting this in the only thing I'm going to tell you about these brush strokes is that they imply each page so they matter if you went like this it wouldn't feel like a book at all so just be present to that you'll see I'm making some more of the warm grey color and I'm using yep just making sure that this also has that feeling of being bounced that these sort of implied edges are helping you see them yeah I don't know where the up-close camera is today so I'm like like I know no kid you know what I'm talking about so crazy up here alright we're gonna do this other side and then we'll have that little that little coffee break and we're gonna breathe and do all that how successful are we feeling today very the everyone is loving this the way that the book is coming together and the fantasy count you know the nature of all of this and the magic around this is really cool and actually just so you don't at because we always have a very interesting side chat mmm-hmm I encourage everyone at home if you're watching this on the on the replay definitely stop by work cuz like right now the hot topic is narwhals oh they're awesome the unicorns of the sea they are unicorns of the sea did my very first report on narwhals they're pretty awesome my parents even took me the library you guys don't some of you know it alive if you don't know what a narwhal as you should go google it right now stay for the live or maybe open another tab and google it I don't know why anybody would be but if any in this room right now is friends with coyote Peterson oh I really really as just would love you to somehow trick him or bribe him or whatever you influence you have to do a narwhal upset dude we would guess bike and we would be undying support from us I'm not looking that I'm looking to watch guys I think he's really awesome and I'm sure it'd be happy but he's all I just want to see a narwhal the lobster thing changed my life my mom got in so much trouble because of him yeah all right I think I'm gonna take a little sippy-sip and then we'll finish these little raise pages yes and put in our shadows one more star and then a little smoke and we're done mmm and we're actually pretty close well you know there were there's lots of people who come in here and have just said thank you cinnamon because you've hung with them while they are working through their paintings and figuring things out and they just really appreciate that mama mama Dee just said our high-fives and loves to you for the paint for for the patience with her cat oh that was so fine so um I work on my computer and Facebook notifies me when things are up and I saw that mama Dee had a live what John was in a meeting so we had to have silence and I'm like typing or I'm watching you I can't hear you so I don't know what you're saying she gave me the same crazy no no no that's a really cute cat you paint really well but you know meeting so I couldn't I couldn't like how the voice go back forth yeah sit Pacific take a deep breath let it out sometimes when you're being introduced to new and unfamiliar techniques even though if they're really accessible or a new concept or new type of object that you're painting or rendering it can give you a little bit of anxiety so just let that go mm-hmm it took me a minute to get my first couple of books to look on point yeah and if they come and that's all you've got to know is you're just gonna hang in there for it and it's gonna it's gonna happen for you so and for for those of you who don't know who coyote Peterson is he is a wonderful a youtuber who does adventure for kids and animals if it we love it I don't know if it matters at all but currently at this moment as of this video future controversies past this date I'm not responsible as of this video I would say he's Sherpa approved he's very awesome he's pretty awesome future controversies I'm not I'm not in any way God look at the date of the video what I do I actually really love it and he validated me to my mom in a way that nobody has in my entire life because of the cow killer so what we were gonna play any pages next is that we're gonna be putting in the highlights and the pages and the edges of the pages as we're going yep and then we're gonna put in a little smoke and some more stars we're gonna make some of those stars glow and we're gonna be gone we do have a little shadow that we'll have to put in our little pages though okay but we just got a workout hour I'm gonna work out her oh and Shelley put an awesome little reminder in here she says you should visit your local library where they have lots more books are they are there still libraries yes there's a go there so cool and actually a lot of the local libraries are transforming into multi-use spaces where they have all sorts of other cool community-based stuff you know that is so true when honey was little I we were in Austin and I just lived at the library for all the kid book days yeah it was like my only mom out of the house time cuz it's you know first baby yep you just sit there and watch them everything everything yeah so in all seriousness if you're out one day of doing an art adventure on your way back from the art store stop by your local library and just like check out what's going on you might be surprised well for sure you'll be surprised well you will be surprised the library will be open cuz you'll be like oh my gosh there's a library or if you go to the library regularly I apologize I don't mean to I am just because it is I don't mean to interrupt John I'm sorry I totally respect him no need to comment I've just answered the other covers which is that I'm adding white to the yellow and black make sure to lighten it so easy you guys sorry I get to chatting here oh no it's totally okay so this is so you can create those lightened hey we're here at the edge here yeah so we're lightening some of these pages see how we're doing mm-hmm just because the light would come through them a little bit on that edge we definitely definitely want to show that we wouldn't want people not to know that it was not so sorry I was not meaning to interrupt you I just I was rambling on about library attendance so well we need to save the libraries you know I guess we all have our our missions my favorite oh I was about to go so deep in movies it's so crazy how we do all right so I'm bringing this down this is an can kind of see this little light triangle I'm doing here yep okay so there's the page I have to put a little shadow on these as I come back but if you've been painting a while you know sometimes your paint has to be dry to add that next layer and so you've got to now this next page sort of comes up and it has more of that little sort of air to it so I'm going to just put that in make sure this is long enough and it is also got a little foreshortened it Koro is noting that you didn't don't seem to add much water your brush I don't add much water so I paint Pro paint and what that means generally the difference between pro veins and student paints is pigment quality and longevity there's a lot of pigment in my paint so even so I don't want to give it to the water glass if I don't have to what acrylic can be thinned with water doesn't it's not you know I mean if you've thinned it with a lot of water you could break down the polymer but in general it's designed for that and even if you use media if you use a lot of medium it becomes a glaze right so I'm trying to hold all that pigment I mean pigment stingy if you're painting student paints the less you use water to thin your paint the better because you're very little pigment in your paint that's how they get it all to be the same cost and save money so that's the trick yes the trick the trick I'm getting this back in I'm going on going I'm just overnight pages really lovely we have such a wonderful group of people out here and just giving art hugs to everyone who's coming and hung out with us today I love art hugs are my favorite kind of hugs they're giving art hugs back to you by the way Oh hugs are great so I'm just strengthening to see how that got a little transparent oh yeah I'm just making sure it's nice and creamy and pagey is that okay it's a little transparent it I mean there really isn't there's there's like a we're gonna find out exactly how many but there's just a few brands that are like at this level and even so certain colors will be more transparent all yellows are a little more transparent yeah so I'm just bringing this down here and it's going to be really foreshortened I'm using perspective lines where one line is shorter to imply that it's vanishing in the distance whenever I say that mm-hmm just in case you didn't watch captain work but why wouldn't you have watched captain mark you know there were there were there weren't many art shows on like none no I mean like basically me it was like could I make it home in time for Voltron and Captain Mark Voltron and Captain Mark and secret City dude my mom got me up so when I my mom didn't actually give me art lessons but she gave me a lot of art supplies and one of the coolest things she ever gave me was a roll of butcher block yeah and so I paper and I was able to do his stuff on that paper so I could have a pretty actually I think respectable secret City I I didn't have anyone I would like take my Melvin post office so I never got to send it to him I was really awesome I remember cuz I used to set up the VCR to record that and then the Bob Ross show for mom to paint that so because she was she went through her oil painting phase too and that was try not to take it personally she doesn't paint with me now I'm saying yes no nobody bug Linda's fine too many hobbies already well we're all good we're all good well her the kids just won the award for decorating her yard they didn't she always has amazing stuff damn she's very creative very very creative all right so I'm just making sure that you're seeing is Paige and you know that's happening you guys loving how the pages are coming and folding out Oh Deanne loves the perspective on the book she's really really nice I agree with it it's one of the things that super excites me about I mean it's a freak out you can always do like the flat book with just the binding and say magic on it and have the background you'd be okay it's not like we're getting on your house me like no you're getting perspective the book we're all gonna be like great table hanging in there just doing this doing this so just a couple more little little bits of things now I'm gonna do a couple little strokes to imply a few pages are here see how we're doing yeah when I come back with these shadows man this thing is gonna pop I'm just making sure I've got enough paint to show that there's a few notice it clustered together the the layers of paint on yours or what's making these not be as transparent right yes if you have transparent pages let it dry do another later okay that is the deal about student paint student paint it just does that and then some of the companies I mean they're just not I mean some of them are very responsible but some of them are not and that's just the truth mm-hmm some of them really try to make a decent product and some don't and you never know like you get the gift and it comes in the pretty box and you're like this is awesome and you're like it's like the paint isn't there you open it up in little mouths come out no feelings on this at all can you tell Brittany was just saying she says this reminds her of a book that you would find in a treasure chest in a secret compartment in the woods and she as she has an adventurous imagination good for her this is exactly what we thought when we saw this book – which is why we picked it out for a for bigger quest because that's what we're doing yes it's very I like this painting was like there's art but you guys are gonna love it many many of you gonna be like this changed my life alright see now we're getting there mm-hmm look is kind of see it's a so isn't crazy how it comes together who was it used to say I love what a plan comes together it was like the a-team right I guess that means sippy sippy break love everybody that was here yeah how to move it with great okay we're all okay you okay okay well look like we see here's the thing is is that I switched cameras to Chi because I can't see everything on the full screen until I switched to that camera so I switched cameras to check on you before I thought to look what was going on because it could've been bad but luckily it was just a little just a little painting job try to lighten this up as like pretty light cuz this will be really in light at least on this outer edge right and then will will darken it will come back and darken it yes they did say it was 18 okay all right a little light there and a little light there like like it's peeking around you know I mean I don't hopefully you don't mean okay so when I have that in and this is you know drawing I can come back with shadows and a pretty dark color and it's going to cause it to have some depth and dimension mhm and then we can add the smoke and the extra stars now for this shadow I think I could either do like I could do the burnt sienna in the black I added a little blue to it but I could do the burnt I want it to be you know darker then the pages and there's a couple places that we're going to just need to have it like they're casting a shadow on the pages below them so you can see it I follow the foreshortened line and I just cast a little shadow and you can even bring some of this into the book you just want to make sure that you're following whatever the lines are of the book it's like here you know it shows a deep shadow so you bring that just make sure that you've got you're not changing the pages so how we're done no a little more but a little more this and then all in the Centers of these pages you can start putting in these little shadows because they are shadowed okay and the page in front of it look at that go how are we going to pop in let me check oh wait yep popping that's all we're doing we're popping it pop this one actually had a lot of shadow kind of coming up some a blend that up there mm-hmm that's a little friend you know feeling a little shadowy and here we go all right brush that over that looking good looking good yeah I'm gonna soften this and how I'm doing that is I'm just kind of dry brushing and softening the edge it's not a hard edge a light dry brush here with just a little bit of pigment I have left just reloading if you ever wonder how I'm getting a lot of paint out I pull pull pull flip and pull pull pull sometimes that camera doesn't catch that little micro flip oh yeah it's a big deal I'm adding a nice big shadow right here then some shadows that are happening right there oh yeah and then a little bit here now I'm gonna start getting right into my black even though I have my brown on it and just making sure that I add some implied page lines here along the front here we doin oh this is awesome if you have anything there's a couple spots where if I add like a really bright highlight like I've got my you know even if it's just the black and yellow just dust it on my brush and I get just a lot lot lot more white where it's like that cream off-white you can come and even create this sort of like some of your pages could have a brighter edge highlight ya are doing fun stuff for me yes for you I like tears I love this book I am said everyone else just keep saying it now so we don't generally for the same reason I get distracted and sometimes have to just go wait wait what did you say I'm saying extracted reading there's a painting show yeah you know we can't give you the chat sometimes because oh the painting will be over yeah I must be reading they're saying that they absolutely love the book they love this image it's so fantastically Sherpa awesome they want to just give you art high high fives and hugs for doing it it's what we do we like we like our books to see oh see that highlight didn't do it oh yeah all right is good snow smokey smoke okay magic let me try this because I don't want nothing moving on looking at when I give myself some smoky smoke okay and then have decide if I want to glow the stars and smoke over them or actually let's give it a splatter okay okay cool are you cool with that of course I am I want to add more splatter I have to because we need another layer in front of the book now I don't want splatter I'm gonna do this weird thing I don't want splatter below my binder oh right I kind of want it focused here so making a little bit of a mass just in case things go crazy I always whatever splatter tool I have I always like to work my pigment through it now this gives me some control so I'm not going to be in too much trouble as you can see I can add a little extra splatter so there's some depth and and everything and even a couple few tiny little dots so that it feels like the magic is coming out of the book oh yeah is the goal of all this you're saying the Stars are arising from the mystical words you know this book is super Narnia mm-hmm Valcour right here well moon princess yep no there's also there's lots of good suggestions for books and in there that they've been talking about – oh really you know ranging from you know your your elf quests to your ears and somebody said I love quest oh yeah you're my friend just you know we're cool ends and just as Piers Anthony just dungeon so if you read piers Anthony's an adult it takes on a whole different feeling it's true it's like as a kid I didn't catch it and then later I was like oh honey let's reach Piers Anthony I'm like I'm in a little bit on my whoa okay and I didn't notice that when I was 10 my mom needed to pre edit my books right oh fillory oh I'm really not starting with you sir I love you you're amazing you're incredible yes this is this hilarious great all authors we love the books and this is just book celebration and there is book club conversation talk happening in chat and I was just making comments on whether they want to see me completely lose my cape was that fangirl out it's Stephen King oh like that actually happened like I like had this whole opportunity to meet him and I like cuz I'd like had a complete psychotic break and couldn't and luckily my friends were like you can't go over there so I didn't but every rather is dick you're doing a really good job separate Pennywise still mad about that scary look clown ok meanderings aside let's glow up some let's dry and then go up some stars oh yeah I'll explain while you're drying why you get drunk oh that's right one no okay there got it my audio is my buttons are not all where they're supposed to be yet so important thing to note the reason why she's drying is the acrylic paint if you if you don't dry the layers below sometimes when you're brushing you can pick that paint up in your strokes and that can cause the subsequent layers to have you know funky things you may not like what I was saying there one of the reasons why it's important to dry your paint is so that you don't pick up the layer below it yeah that's that's one of the big things that you have to to do an acrylic if you're gonna paint in a more traditional method as well the layers underneath to dry yes definitely yeah I am going to pull out a little of my chronic or down just a little bit and I'm using my glaze you could just also thin it with water I'm gonna use my glaze and I'm going to oh and I actually crack it on yourself so thin I mean just yeah I can just use real opinion I'm gonna take some of these and give them this glow if it's not popping for you you can add a little of the yellow to it to warm it up and the warmth of the color will pull against the cool of the background thing we're just trying to say some of these are a glow now if you didn't dry that then you'd be smearing all those I would have a bunch of creamy smearing right that's uh I'm just going around see I'm just making this little glow so yeah it's so super transparent that's how I'm getting away with it so what's happening if I add a little white because it has more pigment get some brighter ones suzy lady really likes the pink clothes she's like yes thumbs up big hearts does it all the awesome emojis to say yes more there's so many glows though I have to do all the gloves no way to power through the glows you got to glow the glows or you know you didn't you did this like a bummer man no what brush are you using to make what I'm sorry guys I'm using a number to fill Burt short handle okay and so there's a like so if you were to grab a number to fill right long handle it'd be a much bigger brush it would be better but about uh I have a to somewhere to to to to oh yeah that's not just in my line this is sort of a universal problem long handled brushes are bigger long handled brushes are bigger you're still not a universal size I couldn't tell you exactly how much bigger but they are bigger yep there's I'm getting a little yellow going that sort of star I'm gonna put some of those in yes everyone agrees more glow enos enos I like glow gorgeous ladies of World Wrestling I like blue mmm 80s have come back to smack us again everybody Roseanne's back well that's awesome I know the whole original caste they didn't like recast to show his back no yeah like the show is back she's back on the air it's happening oh dude that's awesome Dan and the whole thing is back for some reason he's not dead I don't even care why I thought you just meant like sort of in general like Roseanne Barr was just for like doing stuff again alright that's cool that's awesome I guess she decided to leave the ranch in Hawaii I know too much about this I'm not a stalker I promise you you just you like watching things about I'm a fan you're a fan like I actually fan on the fan ads for the stuff who else thinks the sci-fi channel ads are like the best weather like it's a fan thing I'm like yes it is true it's a fan thing man we live here when we talk about things we see so I'm just lightly can you zoom just lightly like you are I'm lightly lightly making these little circles so this is just because my brush stroke is like because I'm glazing now I have these nice little glows that I really really dig now on those circles I was noticing that you you you you were adding a couple layers that men that last one seemed to be a bit like a highlight yeah it's like a little pop-up right yeah now we're gonna come back and do a little white pop-up that's yeah I'm gonna pop up some of the pink ones with a little bit of weight oh yeah so that they have not all of them just some of them so they have different seems better and light it's like a little swirly thing and then I'll make little radials on some of them and then they should all have some different values and it should feel very very magic well because my book is super magical you see that super I'm gonna need a detailed detail brush yeah to do the next part I think I'll just use this this is a very small three over zero sterling studio around this and I'm gonna put out some fluid paint and as long as I'm a nice and a point on that that's what I'm gonna paint some of this these end and then we're gonna smoke and then we're done smoke smoke up the nut dot what I mean you're gonna make magical smoke I'm gonna make matte again it's not getting better sometimes you just step in those holes and have to go oops and move along that's my life Stefan hall stick my foot in my mouth say like however awkwardly something could be said please let me let me come into the room and and not do that well that's like my gift so what are you using they're just white paint I'm just using the white paint and and there's this effect that happens in photography or they have kind of like these little radials I'm just making sure mine do to some of them not all of them twinkle some of my magic little things are twinkling that's all that's happening I like to twinkle just making some Sparkle what no I I noticed that I do this too but whenever we talk about it you have to go sparkles it's bad I don't I don't know how that happened but it did why wouldn't you I don't know but it is true I mean it's just they require emphasis hey we got some of them are it twinkly and everyone does love how twinkly this is becoming yeah this is super twinkly it's like sky bling yes sky bling total total sky bling this is actually I'm I'm like I've been really zoomed in close but as i zoom out here it's like I'm I'm super excited I don't want to zoom out anymore because it looks too good well what a surprise everybody when we switch cameras oh they haven't seen look I see your every time I go over there oh you're being tricky see look at this that's big ho look how cool it is a pair oh your show no no no you well your painting so you can see it yeah I'm on it actually sometimes no if you're this close on a painting you're not actually seeing your painting no I do you see the little sneak peeks over around you you're guessing if you're this close to your painting what your painting looks like and again you don't have to do every single star you splattered or drew but you do want to get some of them mm-hmm so that it feels super magical some of them can just have a few of the little radials and some of them are gonna need to have a lot of them so let's see doesn't that look amazing I'm okay with it it's nice oh this is so good I like this is so my really liked this one a lot I'm glad you like this one a lot I'm gonna get my secret weapon it's not really a weapon it's a brush now this is Cambridge number six bright and it has a mix of bristles and synthetic filaments if you are vegan what you need to do is you know have that brush that dies the horrible death and it's fluffy mm-hmm don't ever get rid of that brush or you're gonna have to get some Brussels and that won't work for you so if you're not you could do this this bristles and synthetic and the reason we want the synthetic in there is so that it doesn't get too soft you know dry brush is really well good yeah I'm gonna come here and get some of the heavy body paint I'm gonna just load it on here so it's my dry dry brush dry brush dry dry haven't dipped in water no in any way now it can have a smidge of the blue here see I brought a smidge of the blue because the smoke is a smidge blue anyone else notice that yeah and I'm gonna just I'm trying to make sure is it doesn't have a lot of paint on it right no what a whole lot of paint and now I need to start making I really still want it to be lighter than this though this is the magical mist that we're releasing from the book yeah so see how I went up if you've ever done calligraphy this is kind of what I'm doing I don't want to do too much of it because it would be really easy to erase on my work that I need to do enough so that we're seeing the power up oh yeah mm-hmm all gamers want yes I understand yes now I'm gonna put a little magic coming out of this page and I may get more white on there so it really pops air yeah sorry it's like these are a lot of little asses this is amazing I really don't find I'm sorry takes longer no you're doing great no you're doing fantastic and again don't do too much because you don't want to lose everything you made all right just just going along and then you're not picking up any water there no it's all dry brush this is all dry brushing and picked up a little more white so that some of this is got a stronger aspect to it and I'm making these little asses that snake around and come out the pages you get too many then you're gonna lose all your stuff yes and you don't you want to show that the book is emanating emanating magic and not farting that's the balance right it's not leaking so sometimes John cracks me he does he makes me think these funny pity with that I don't want to be too crazy because I want to show the magic you know sort of pouring out I want to show that it's there I want to feel it coming out but I don't want to overwhelm everything and then at this point I think that I want to sign it yeah I think so all right so how I'm gonna sign it and I know it's the hi beat on this drum a lot it's my drum which is just think about it just think about the signature you know look at the piece if you if I were to use a bright orange signature or break had red signature right now what would you see my signature and if like that's your whole thing is like people did like see the signature and be like audit man like do it but something to consider is that you kind of worked hard on this whole piece and you want people to take that in before they take in your name right so what are you signing with there I'm gonna sign with that same three over zero sterling studio around I'm gonna maybe add a little blue to it so it's not such a bright white but it's blue because I have a lot of blue in my wood yeah so it'll show up but it won't be just like only that see how it does sure you can read it but it's not such an intense thing and I look I love Bob and I know he did CAD you guys don't gotta write me but he was Bob [Laughter] long ago as myself and my ball I check my hair and I saw no curls says it okay I better work on my signature all right I feel like I've given a good signature I feel like I've done that I know I committed John but if you guys like had any questions about the sponging or any of the stuff meet us for a second on Facebook and I will drill down on those techniques really really quick and Althea had a quick question here what Facebook what is the name of the Facebook group and where and what so where we you know like cuz I'm a couple of them right okay there's a page it's a fan page they used to only have that and then they gave us groups this is the art Sherpa official group you want the art chirp 'el but is the page yes and then there's cinnamon Cooney and I'm not going to be they're gonna be on the page but you should find us by the live notification any things that happen yes yes and also if you're in group everyone was all you kids like there's some Twilight bark of like oh my gosh she's on again she didn't tell us I think it's our number one vote of things that they want to see changes calendar guys this was a lot of fun I hope you enjoyed making a little magic and we made a lot of it like this magic doubt I kind of went a little magic magic um be good to yourselves be good to each other and I want to see you with the easel really soon bye bye you

Cinnamon, you have definitely inspired me to paint this, But rather than the magical fantasy, I will be painting it with the Bible in mind – I feel it is 'fitting' either way. Thank you, Cinnamon, for taking the time to post these tutorials and I absolutely love the comical side of you – you're a blast!!

I love this painting tutorial. I didnt have a sponge for it but I didn't want to wait to buy it. So I managed to paint it without it. I loved how simple it was. Thank you for your tutorials.

I thought you were doing the painting shown in the thumbprint which is so much more mystical (with less color). Would you be willing to show us how to get more of that look? Please????
