Fushimi Inari Shrine Photography ⛩️This place is INSTAGRAM GOLD!

this morning Gregg does not want to get
out of bed because he’s had too many early mornings lately but Japan’s just
too photogenic over location not too anyhow this morning I’m the one who
makes him get up because I want to go to a location that is very special that I
have been wanting to go to for a while and you might have actually seen
pictures of that because it’s all over Instagram lately Gregg it is time due to its popularity most tourists and
in supermodels the only time you can really get the shrine to yourself at
least a part of it is at sunrise the best photograph you can get of the fish
in Inari shrine and the red gates is actually before sunrise and that is
before the lanterns turn off so the trick once you get to the shrine is to
go all the way through all the way past the beautiful temples then you see on
the way and go straight to the red gates because that’s where the beautiful
pictures and you want to make sure to get that one before the lanterns turn
off at 5:30 so we thought that the lanterns had just
turned off but now they turned on again so maybe they gave us next rattle or ten
minutes or so the lanterns have just turned off so we
got here in time to get some amazing photographs without the crowds here so
it’s really really important that you get here first thing in the morning
even before the Sun rises because that blue hour is really the perfect time to
photograph now that the lanterns have turned off
and more and more people arrive it’s time to head back towards the entrance
of the temple and shoot some more of the surroundings of the buildings here and
tell you some more about the 50 million re temple the fushimi inari temple in
kyoto was named after Inari the shinto god of rice and agriculture the inner
and outer shrine are connected by a path lined with thousands of torii the red
gates we had been photographing all morning hi I’m just in case you
beginning to wonder but all the foxes have to do with Inari the fox of this
day is considered the gods messenger sorry
so Instagram husband how are you doing I’m just checking my Instagram account
make sure my followers are still growing in a organic rate looks like they are so
I won’t have to invest to get some good bag money shots oh yeah oh yeah
Instagram gold so I release crack from his Judy s
Instagram husband because really he did such an amazing job this morning not
only getting up that early but also getting some really amazing photographs
off the red gates with me in it and at this point I should probably
mention that I’m not an Instagram model nor do we have really big Instagram
accounts but we do enjoy travel photography and videography so if you’re
interested in that as well make sure to subscribe to this channel visiting the fushimi inari temple early
in the morning is not only the best time for photography it is also a very unique
cultural experience and I can definitely recommend coming here as early as you
can thank you so much for watching and for your support and I hope to see you
soon in one of the next videos bye for now you

I alway's prefer taking the "secret" path up Fushimi Inari to have a nice peacefull walk in bamboo/normal forests :p but that route takes quite a bit longer ^^"
But thanks for the tip about when the lanterns turn off, never thought of going so early before to go there for pictures ^o^

Always a good tip, early mornings to get a jump on the other tourists, especially for the photos. Congrats on breaking the 2K subs ceiling. Rock on!

It's somewhere I'd love to see, but I'm interested (seeing as how you referenced Instagram) in if you think the whole Instagram phenomenon along with cheap flights has rather killed serious photography of places? It always looks as though this, and other locations, are full of people adding photos to their social media photo bucket list: "if it's tuesday this must be Fushimi Inari" to paraphrase the song from the 60s. Is it still mentally possible for the photographers who come up as the InstaGeneration to commit to a long term photography project or are we moving towards a world of 'Instagram Gold' snapping?

Great shots indeed! Also, Greg sounded like Woody Allen at the 3:40 mark LOL!
