ESO - Coloured Text and Images (Guild notes/MotD)

hello and welcome to cloudy Glen Umbra I'm going to show you how to add color text and images your Gil note and your guild homepage so to start off we need the hex code of the color we want to use so to find this go to google and type the color we want to use followed by hex code the first result should be fine just copy it for later I'm just going to demonstrate a notepad what we would type in game then I'll show you in game later just so it's easier to see now what we have here is what we work type in game highlighted now is the hex code we've copied for the color we want the text to be highlighted now is the text we want to be colored at the beginning of the line we have a vertical bar C and at the end of the line we have a vertical bar are these open and close the line so to start from a beginning we open with a vertical bar C we then paste in our hex code then we type in a text we want and then we close the line with a vertical bar our welcome back to cloudy Glen umbra let's go see how it works in game I'm just going to pick a random person to edit their notes now this is where we type in what we just went through so open up the vertical bar C paste in our hex code type in the text we want and close with a vertical bar R and say let's see how that looks now if you're going to use this for your message of the day I recommend that you don't use bright or strong colors just keep it nice and easy to read pastel colors work especially well the first thing when adding an image to ESO is to actually find the image you want and its location the ESO UI wiki has a list of every single icon in the game you just need to look through it and see what looks cool and see if it works not all work but most of them do we're back in Notepad and here is an example of what we would side to get an image in eso there's a few differences but it's mostly similar the first difference is that we open and close with a vertical bar T the next difference are these numbers on the front the first number is a horizontal size and the next number is our vertical size this is our image locations on the side we just looked at now to start from the beginning we open with a vertical bar T followed by our horizontal size and a colon we then write our vertical size and another colon and then we paste in our image location and close off with a vertical bar T now these will all be in a description for you to copy and paste so you only have to change the sizes and the image location to finish off let's see how it looks in game so going to edit someone's notes and pasted in before we just did click Save and that person now has a glorious Covenant banner is there no now this works for your guilt homepage as well in my message of the day specifically I have an icon that I stretched across to make a division in my aboutis I have a little sword as well all the icons in the game are on that list you just need to look through them and see what works now if there's anything else you need to know or you still have questions about this you're free to message me in-game or leave a comment under the video and I'll see what I can do thank you for watching and have a good day you

You can use Circonians TextureIt to preview icons in game in addition to finding game textures which also work!
