Hi everyone, I’m Junor Wedding photographer from Snap by Tree I believe most of you had watch the previous episode On previous episode, Mien leave a question for me she asked that is photography important when you have all the beautiful things setup? In my opinion, I think it’s very important because when you already have so much decor setup everything is perfectly fine there why not use the photography to cease the moment so that you can recall the moment in the future After 10 or 20 years you can still pass down to next generation let them see how it’s like when you get married Every moment will be ceased I think this is very important What is the photography trend for now? I think the photography trend for now is more on natural side they won’t request you to stage too much they want you to enjoy your moment be natural and ignore the existence of camera What is the difference between now and then? The photo is taken by using film back then you can’t control the color it will be partial green, purple or blue Until the digital era they will ask for natural color like what you see is what you get bright, white, natural But for now I think it’s already emerge into back to the past its like the feeling of tone and film infuse In order to not waste any film you use you will be taking the shots naturally I think now it feels a bit like last time How long does it take for a customer to approach you? Pre-wedding need to find me at least 3 months ago we need to discuss about your preference on venue of shooting your style, attire, hairstyle and all the details we need so it’s best to come 3 months ago because it takes time to prepare, test gown and others Meanwhile if actual day need at least 6 month ago because nowadays people are more face paced some already booked their photographer 1 year ago but it also depends on the availability of that photographer of course the sooner the better if you already confirm you want that photographer What preparation does a customer need before they come approach you? I hope that before my client come approach me already got a certain direction and they must like my style If you don’t like my style and just simply want to find a photographer to take photos I think we both won’t be satisfied with the outcome So from the beginning you need to be fond of my style and most importantly, have faith in me Should customer seek for inspiration on social media? Many customer will search Pinterest or Instagram to look for inspiration for their wedding I think this is a good thing But I think they should not pursuing too much detail rather than enjoy your moment you will get carried away by those details For example how beautiful my dress need to be how pretty my decor need to be and such When you look back into it the most important thing is still the moment So you should choose the most comfortable attire and don’t pursue for too grand too much details What they should avoid? Try not to find a gown which is too broad your couple cannot stand too close to you and cannot perform some intimate action If I ask you to do a run or walk shoot You will only focusing on carrying your dress and pay attention to the floor you’ll keep having the feeling of uncomfortable many pose will be limited What’s the photography difference between pre-wedding and actual day? The biggest different between pre-wedding and actual day photography is In pre-wedding, let’s say if you did some mistake you can keep repeat it until perfect But during actual day what missed is missed How do you direct or guide them throughout the whole photo shoot Before that I will have a meeting with my client or sit down and have a coffee together after we have know each other until the situation doesn’t awkward anymore Two to three month later when the photo shoot has start they will act more naturally Usually I’d give them a certain scene to perform Let’s say we shoot a casual scene in kitchen they will be asked to prepare salad bowl kind of things I’ll ask them directly make a real salad and during the process I’ll keep on shooting rather than you just staying straight and not moving I think this is more natural it also can show their true feelings and emotions Why they need to sit down and have discussion to understand you better? The reason to know me better is to know what kind of style I shoot or how I carry on the whole photo shoot mainly is to let them have a mental preparation to prevent awkward situation What is your style? Anyone who seen my photos will know that I usually like irregular, not too ordinary pose But I will still take ordinary pose for you for example when you wearing gown and a few formal scene But I’ll pay attention to the bonding between couple Let’s say I ask you to play at the beach and I want you to really play at the beach do not treat this as a photo shoot just get into the thing you’re doing and have faith in your photographer they will take the best out of it How are you going to solve the awkward situation? If I meet an awkward or camera shy couple I usually will tell them some relaxed joke crack some joke about groom’s tummy is too big then they will start to laugh From the burst out laughter I’ll keep take photos during the process that is the most natural moment What advice would you give couple in order to take a natural shot during actual day? Although I said don’t be sensitive towards camera means don’t look at the camera whenever there’s a camera approach you But the not sensitive doesn’t mean that not sensitive until hunchbacked, not smiling You need to thoroughly enjoy your moment you need to keep maintain your smile The only one challenge I’ll suggest to them is keep smiling from morning until night What’s the difference of hire 1 and 2 photographer? I did received a lot of inquiry about what’s the difference between 1 and 2 photographer? Usually I will said that if using only 1 photographer of course the angle will be very limited For example during ROM ceremony as a bride when the groom wants to kiss you or ring exchange or opening veils if you have only 1 photographer he can only take some flat angle shot If you have 2 photographer the another photographer will use close up shots to capture your reaction you can know your feelings on that moment So that’s all for today next episode will talk about cinematography and my question for next episode cinematographer How are you going to justify differences between photography and cinematography because both also record moment so how are you going to justify the difference?
