Drawing Each Other

Drawing Each Other

they excited so this is what we got set up we're gonna film each other drawing each other so Karen I used to do this when we lived in Portland we would go down to Pioneer place yep yep so it was super fun we used to love doing that oh please everybody has their own style that's realistic Trust is more realistic style so it's a little bit easier to draw realistic than it is for me but it's good practice and I like to do it for practice reasons but yeah because it helps you it helps you draw other things because you realize like you know mistakes you make even when you're drawing cartoons it helps to draw from life yeah yep okay so this is what I'm using which is just a brown prismacolor pencil burnt burnt sienna and burnt umber so I'll start out with this one which I'll do a light drawing I'm Kara and then a dark and everything I need to darken with this one I'm going to try and go fast and I'm not gonna erase so which is generally you know this is a fast kind of just portrait study kara is gonna use this pencil right here which is I'm not sure the LED density on it but this is a decent drawing pencil so our drawings will look quite different but you should be pretty cool like excited mmm I have to draw on somebody in a long time I mean dogs have been like a year yeah but Karen hi we've taken a lot of figure drawing which yeah I plan on doing a video on that because that's interesting but they're happy another time so anyway let's get started you you you you you you you you you you you so what do you think they might check out pretty good I made his eyes too big a little too big which is a habit of mine because I tend to draw cartoony and that's just something that I've always done so it's how to get out of the habit um and but as long as you accept your style like no matter how you draw like you just accept what how you draw and then each your drawing can take on a whole life of its own kind of thing I don't mind my style like as you can tell from this picture I'm more of a cartoon animated kind of drawer because it's more lying dry Carter Travis but I like it I think it kind of resembles Travis don't you think honey yeah no it's awesome you know like what do you think that like you looking in the mirror every day that you would change well the eye shape I mean to be perfectly honest it looks like a character sure of me yeah you know the shape is a little off mm-hmm it's more there to like slanted yeah well in just the shape in general yeah like if you're more straight it would be more you mm-hmm but yeah like a character Jeremy is basically exact and that's how care is always drawn and I actually like it it's always the characters have or the people she draws have it's like a consistent style over and over again it's the way she draws so it's awesome and it was really fun huh drawing is a lot of fun and I challenge all the people watching this video to do this exact same thing but yeah turned out all right her forehead is probably too long but I feel like the whole I don't know it's kind of there I see myself quite a bit in there but like I said during the drying you tend to over exaggerate my lips when you draw me for some reason just like I tend to over exaggerate your eyes well that's because I exaggerate all the features that pretty mature you you got a smaller narrower face your eyes are really round obviously a drum really in the lips but I like I really like working with like a light pencil on a dark pencil athletic do my under drawing with a light pencil and I really strongly suggest everyone doing that and I actually tell Cara to do that too on her next drawing because we'll do this again um because I feel like you can you're more confident with a lighter pencil you don't have to make those really dark strokes a lighter drawing and then once you feel like you got the shapes and everything and everything where should be then you go in with a darker pencil and and really flush stuff out and that's how you should I feel like you should work but this drawing I mean I just went right at it and really care about what I didn't do any measurements or any like that this is just enjoying drawing and seeing what you come up with and enjoying it really yeah so it was really fun and this turns out to be a decent video

I don't think Carah's lips were exaggerated lol! I used to always notice certain prominent features about people except for my own :/ my husband said it's my cheek bones when I smile but I dunno :/ great job guys. πŸ™‚ can't wait to watch more of these videos πŸ™‚

I really enjoyed watching these two drawings happen at the same time. I feel portraits are the hardest to draw. You are both talented.

I feel like Carah's drawing of Travis looks a lot like Buggy, specifically the eyes and lips. I don't know, maybe it's just me…

I am so going to try to convince my hubby to do this with me! He always try's to say he can't draw, but I am going to have him watch this video, cause your point of everyone have their own style is so true! He seems to think there is only a right and a wrong way… Plus, I think this would be such a fun activity for couples! Great video, keep em' coming!

I love this video and both of you are so talented. But, after Travis corrected his wifeee about kund of looking asian. I think Carah got a little offended? Next time, i think it would be really cool if you asked us what we though was wrong, and how we would have corrected the issue or step. And if you have any input or comments then tell us! It would be a great way to get to know your… Uh… Watchers"?" better. It would be a learning evperience for all of us, the video would be shorter. And i

Hey guys that was one amazing video! I liked it a lot especially how different your styles are. That totally got me inspired to draw my fiancΓ© more often. It is much harder for me to draw from real life but its true that it helps a lot to train the skill to capture realistic details and depth of everything. You guys always make fun videos, big thank you from germany!
