Cura Connect: How to print using Cura Connect

In this guide, we’ll explain how to launch
print jobs through Cura Connect in Ultimaker Cura 3.0 If you have not previously set up your group please watch our Cura Connect start up videos Open one or more models by clicking the “Open File” button All major 3D file types, including STL, OBJ, X3D, and 3MF are supported The model will open in the 3D viewer Use the settings to fine-tune your print For now we’re going to select PLA, an AA 0.4 print core, and leave the rest as it is When your print settings are satisfactory, you can send the job directly from the software Click “Print over network” at the bottom-right corner of the screen If you have more than one printer present in your group, you have the option to assign the job to a specific printer For now we’ll select “Automatic” and press “Print” The job is now sent to the Cura Connect queue If any compatible printer is present in your group it will start printing right away Let’s send this job two more times If we press “Show print jobs” in the
pop-up window, we will navigate to the Cura Connect queue After we send the jobs we can observe the following: One Ultimaker, called “Group-host” is printing It has PLA loaded in extruder 1 You can see the estimated finish time at the right side of the job One Ultimaker, called “Printer-2” is available with ABS loaded in extruder 1 In the queue, you can see the top job requesting a configuration change Let’s see what configuration change we need to make to
pass the job on the top of the list We’ll press “Show details” under “Action
required” We see a list of the actions to perform We need to change the material
in extruder 1 from ABS to PLA on “Printer-2” Go to the printer and perform the
actions shown on the display As soon as the printer detects the configuration change, the job moves from the waiting list in to “Printing” Now, let’s wait for the printer “Group-host” to finish printing After the printer “Group-host” has finished printing, the printer’s display will request to clear the build plate Clear the build plate and confirm “Print object removed” The printer is now available to receive
a new job from the list We can see that the next print job is immediately assigned to the printer “Group-host” You are now ready to start printing through Cura Connect Thank you for choosing Ultimaker

This is the worst video ever. I don't even have the option to print, and I'm not over a network, so thanks for zero help.

Don't know if it's just me – but why are people complaining. I believe that Cura Connect is for Ultimaker network based printers only, if you need Cura and print via network then use eg. OctaPrint (RPI)
